AiToolkit - Road accident investigation & reconstruction software
The Accident Reconstruction Expert Directory is owned and operated by Crash Data Group, Inc. Crash Data Group is the North American product distributor of vehicle crash data tools and software dedicated to assisting those who investigate automobile accidents stay current with the ever-evolving and emerging automotive technologies, crash data. Accident reconstruction drawings are visual recreations or sketches of an accident. They normally depict the accident and the surrounding area, as well as the vehicles and people involved. They're created using eyewitness reports, photos, security footage, and physical evidence. Readers using MARC1 Accident Reconstruction Software in their forensic praxis will find the Seventh Edition a helpful tool in effectively using MARC1. MARC1 software applications have been added to make the analysis of complicated calculations an easy and efficient task. Dec 12, 2012 The HVE-CDI Crash Reconstruction Software for Law Enforcement is a special program because it focuses specifically on the needs of the law enforcement crash reconstructionists. The program will provide reconstruction and simulation capabilities so that an investigator can piece together the reasons an accident occurred.
Welcome to AiToolkit, providers of affordable software solutions for the forensic road accident investigator.
Products here were developed by practising accident investigators to provide user friendly, concise solutions to common calculations. All calculations within these programs are widely used and accepted and use Newtonian physics and the laws of motion.
Calculations here include those contained within the training syllabus for UK Police accident investigators along with many others not covered within that training. We produce two MS Windows® products which are:-
is a comprehensive set of commonly used accident investigation calculations. This includes all formula in general daily use and many other useful calculation tools. |
allows calculation of the ∆V (Delta V) or speed change of a vehicle from the extent and nature of damage sustained by a vehicle following an impact. For updates to the crash test database click here. |
Evaluation copies are fully functional for 21 days after which the programs become inactive. After this a license key can be purchased to allow continued usage. (Click here to download software)
Both applications have modest hardware requirements and are designed to function on both current and earlier hardware and operating systems. They will function on all types of Windows® compatible machines. (Click here for minimum requirements)

New MARC1 – 2015 Accident Reconstruction Software
In the mid-70s as director of the NHTSA-Utah MDAI team while writing the first edition of the “Motor Vehicle Accident Reconstruction and Cause Analysis” book published in 1978, it was Dr. Limpert’s hope to develop accident reconstruction software paralleling the crash physics discussed in the book. Consequently, LARM2 software was published in 1994, followed by AAA in 1996. LARM2, sold by SAE International for many years, addressed basic collisions such as inline-, sideswipe- and oblique collisions, AAA accident avoidance analysis. Both programs were DOS operated. We introduced our windows-operated user-friendly sectionalized MARC1 software in 2005 addressing the entire spectrum of traffic accident reconstruction with 26 major modules. MARC1 was developed to parallel new editions of Dr. Limpert’s book in its 7th edition by 2012. Crashes including low-speed collisions can be reconstructed and checked against “crash-tests-on-paper” with different coefficient of restitutions, A and B-stiffness coefficients, etc. Vehicle components such as suspensions, braking, and others can be evaluated in loss-of-control crashes or rollovers. Impulses analyses are applied to different specific crashes including rollovers. Brake designs, lockup sequence and components defects can be evaluated easily.
The following MARC1-2015 modules apply to this rear-end crash: Z- Configuartion; X9 -Crush energy; X2-Speed calculations; W2 and X8 - Crash-tests-on-paper (check calculation accuracy); E4 & E6-Post crash drag factors; O4 – Centerof-gravity height; A3 - Pre-crash speed analysis.
